What is coaching?

Do you feel stuck? I do too at times. Life coaching is a supportive relationship and powerful alliance that inspires and encourages us to develop our true potential. Coaching identifies the steps and provides the tools necessary to move forward and accomplish our goals. It helps us determine our vision for life, from a place of deep purpose. Coaching moves us from where we are to where we want to be.

I work with clients during 45 minute sessions to understand their strengths to achieve success in various areas of life. I partner with clients to help them move from where they are to where they want to be, so they can find greater fulfillment in life. I meet with clients in my office or over the phone, which allows me to work with clients anywhere.

How is coaching different than therapy?

Coaching is not to be confused with therapy.  

Therapy identifies past hurts, wounds and challenges and works with individuals to heal.  Examples include depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, abuse, and relationship distress.  

Coaching, in contrast, casts a vision for what the client wants in their life and provides them with a structure to move toward it through goal setting and accountability, once the healing is done.
